She is widely recognized for advising financial institutions, corporate groups, and high-net-worth individuals on complex transactional and regulatory matters, and for designing tailored corporate and legal structures for asset protection, wealth planning, and other strategic needs.

She earned her Bachelor of Law and Political Sciences from Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua in 1996. She subsequently completed a Postgraduate Degree in Commercial Law at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia (1997), and participated in the Georgetown Law Center – INCAE joint program on Legal Aspects of International Business in Managua, Nicaragua (1998–1999), further strengthening her international and cross-border legal perspective.

Ms. Ballanis focuses her practice on Securities Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Banking and Finance Law, Asset Protection, and Estate Planning. She regularly advises on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, private placements, cross-border transactions, and the structuring of trusts and wealth preservation vehicles.

Admitted to the Panamanian Bar in 1997, she combines technical clarity with a client-oriented approach, providing comprehensive solutions tailored to best suit the needs of both institutional and private clients.
